Well done. Love the 4 pipe exhaust and the model delete. And don't worry, the base can get you into as much trouble as the T, S or GTS. Post the build when you manage to stop driving it.

Thanks very much, everyone! Glad to be able join the fun with this knowledgeable and great group on Rennlist.

I went with the Black/Bordeaux interior, gloss black wheels, gloss black sport tail pipes, gloss black lettering, tinted taillights, PDLS+ with black surrounds, and glass sunroof. I think it all adds up to a clean, consistent, and sporty look. I also optioned the Burmester and it sounds amazing!

She may be the last or one of the last 991.2 base Carrera builds, which is neat! (As reflected in another post, I ordered it after I saw the debut of the 992.)

I’ll try to post more pictures later.

Happy driving everyone!

Gorgeous car, but no Sport Chrono (for sport + pdk mode?)

With all the other pricey options, clearly not a cost issue.

Thanks!

I could have gone either way, but one of the first things the Mrs. noted when we test drove was the plastic Manetinno-like dial. I actually thought it looks pretty good and liked the additional sport+ and individual setting control, but I never really cared for the clock in the center. Since she didn't like the dial, I went without it and kept consistent with the overall clean look inside and out. I think most people prefer Sports Chrono though.

If Porsche fixes the design of the 911 in the 992.2, maybe I would include Sports Chrono in a future build. I can definitely say that I'm very happy now with the beautiful 991.2 and glad I got it over the 992.1. I think the 991 design and engineering captures a near perfect balance between classic and modern 911.

The key reason I would opt for SC is the additional sport-plus mode... I know it has gotten better on later generation PDK's, but *especially* on 997.2 and 991.1 cars, the pdk can be a bit lazy IMHO without the sport plus mode.

But I agree, the dash timer wart is worthless, useless, and unattractive. Car looks cleaner without it.

Nice, now get those windows tinted to complete the look! And it is nice to see another that appreciates that the 991 is a better choice than a 992, especially in the looks department.

Yes, indeed. I’m scheduled for a light window tint, clearguard nano film, and modesta ceramic coating at end of the month.
