Default 991.2 brake caliper question

I'm starting the process of painting the calipers on my 991.2 base. Looking at black, silver or red. They are looking gray and old after only 20K miles.

Are the bolts on the outside of the caliper used for changing pads? I'm not sure if the bolts should be painted or not. They stick out a bit on the black but if they are used for changing pads they will get scratched up during the process.

Thanks

Those bolts hold the caliper halves together, and do not normally get removed.

No harm painting them, whatever color you choose:

Nice! I'm thinking silver with red script.

Cool, and if you need someone to make the Red Porsche decals contact Sandy, who makes a lot of custom decals for Rennlisters: fannonsandy@gmail.com
