2019 911 Carrera T, OEM Steel Brake Upgrade with spacers.
I was in search of a “stripper” 911 T and landed on this Black 2019. It was the least spec’d car I could find, only having the Sport Chrono option.
After delivery, I had a full Xpel front wrap, ceramic coating, 35% ceramic tint, and added clear LED side markers. Trying to keep a stock look, but wanting a subtle enhancement I contacted several places to see about a “big brake” upgrade.

Leading Edge Autosport in West Chester, PA did what other places would not do. They spent 3-4 days investigating different options since there was no real reference for doing this on a 991.2 T other than going to PCCB. Clint and Mark are true pros.

With all OEM parts, they upgraded all rotors to the 991.2 Turbo 380mm and 6 piston calipers. Everything was a bolt on for with the exception of one front brake line that need some custom sizing. In addition, they added 5mm OEM spacers all around. The change is subtle but exactly what I was looking for.

I saw some posts that others were looking to do the same. Hopefully this helps. Pics below.

Looks amazing! What did I run if you don’t mind me asking?

 

Around $9k...I’m sure it could be done cheaper by painting calipers instead of replacing them, etc. but I just wanted to swap everything out. Upgrading to the ‘S’ is less as well.

 

Can u tell a difference in stopping power? Thats a decent amount of rotational mass to add but im sure that will easily be worth it ehen you tune it

It is definitely more noticeable than stock. With that said, I haven’t put a ton of miles on it since upgrading.

Until you start fading the brakes, stopping power is limited by tire traction. Pedal feel, of course, is another matter.

 

Did you happen to weigh the setup before and after?

GiroDisc have 350mm rotors for the base and T and they provide a really good sweep area. Just need spacers for the calipers and Pagid sells pads for this set up.
GiroDisc are about $2400 for all four wheels. Plenty of stopping power.

since the base and T are 4 caliper set up and the S is a 6 piston you can not put Rotors on base or T as the sweep area will not be 100% and why GiroDisc developed their 350 mm for the base and T. May need to call them to get correct part.

 

So far the stock brakes have been pretty impressive. I also noticed my rears have gt3 cooling ducts (i have RAS) and i cant get the rear rotors over 250F on the street. The car consistently stops harder than my new michelin ps4s tires can handle since the car is so light. Going to track end of the month will report back if the bakes dont hold up with 2-3 hours of track time. Anyone have any issues with stock brakes on track? I already upgraded fluid to Ate 200.
