Usually the used car is the most intelligent choice, but with a 911 the options can make a surprising difference. Depending on you, of course.

I wouldn't get a PDK without Sport Chrono, but not everyone drives like I do. I had a 2014 C4S without it, and missed it. That would rule out options 1 and 3 for me.

I test drove a 991.2 base, and found it didn't have quite enough power for me. Again, personal take.

Most of the other things wouldn't matter to me. Leather's nice, heated seats are nice, LCA's nice, but none of those would be make-or-break for me on an existing car. When it came to my current car I ordered all of those, but I wouldn't have turned down an existing car without them if I had found what I wanted otherwise.

You haven't mentioned color. Color can have a lot of impact on some people. I find that I care about both interior and exterior color. One thing that constantly nagged at me about my 2014 C4S was the beige interior. I just didn't care for it.

So if it were me... I'd be looking at other options. Like maybe finding a used 991.2 S with Sport Chrono.

Can't help you decide on options/colors, etc, but the S engine is IMO significant unless you plan to tune the base, or don't need the extra oomph.

I can say that I also purchased a non-CPO from a non-Porsche dealer recently, and as part of the due diligence, had a PPI done at the local dealer. Afterwords, I point blank asked the service rep if they would CPO the car, and they said yes unequivocally.

FWIW, was a 2017 C4S Cab w/ 9K miles for ~$109K. If I decide to keep past the warranty date, I will purchase Fidelity Platinum warranty, which is what the Porsche Dealer sells anyway...

Good luck!

Thank you for all of the responses , they were very helpful. The dealer with the 2019 base ( $125, 250 MSRP) has offered to sell it for $116, 888. The dealer with the new 2018 ( $142,300 MSRP) has offered to sell it for $126, 000. Either vehicle would be acceptable to me. What are your thoughts on these offers. Is it realistic to get the 2019 for $110,000. Would 15% off on the 2018 be realistic.

Question is do you want S and a few more options. Or which car do you like better?

Price wise I think both are on target (EDIT: nvm I think less than 110k is what the S should be sold for). I doubt 1 or 2 thousand dollars is the deciding factor.

I would choose the S, but would want a larger discount since it is a 2018.

But for those who flip every year or two, it is just an extra expense with no value if they trade it in to a dealer. So to each their own.
