There are countless threads on this forum that you can search for and read what others say so no need to start the debate yet again. Drive the .2 and you will answer you own question - I drove both and ordered a .2.
And the title of your thread needs to be updated/corrected.

Both are great cars! The base .2 is probably a touch quicker, but the C2S NA engine is not to be underestimated. Plus, you can get things like SPASM on the C2S, which you can't get on a base 991.
Whether it is an upgrade depends more on the options you currently have, and how well they are suiting your needs. Performance-wise, it is more personal preference, but having driven both, I would take the NA over the turbo. I would take a 991.2 C2S over a 991.1 C2S though. That engine is a lot beefier and it has tech that wasn't available on the 991.1, like RWS.
I think if you look around, you will see used 991.1 C2S (5 years old) priced about the same as a 2-year old base 991.2 with similar mileage. That should give you an idea of desirability on the resale market; if anything, the early 991 C2S models seem to hold their value a bit better than the base 991.2 in terms of depreciation per year, allowing that the curve has flattened completely on the 991. It is a lot of car for the money. With that said, if I could find a base 991.2 manual, with 18-ways, full leather, sport exhaust, and PSE, I would say that is a car that can run all day long with the 991.1. The engine note can always be upgraded!
