Default Turbo replacement?

I have a base c2. I believe the turbos from the S and GTS to be compatible with my car. I know a tune would be needed to make them work.

Does anyone make aftermarket turbos for these cars? Has anyone tried them?

Also, Im sure someone on this board has swapped larger turbos. What was your result?

Why not do a tune with the Turbos that you have. Check out the dyne charts on Cobbs site. Theres tons of power to unleashed in what you have.

Yes, there are several companies that offer turbo upgrades. Tial Sport, Pure Turbos, TTE. Yes, they hav been tried by several people. Potential is about 600WHP. You will need supporting mods such as intercooler upgrade, catalyst upgrade and DME recalibration.

Theres a guy pushing nearly 600whp on nothing but big turbos and headers I believe. Stock intake, stock intercoolers and exhaust. How well it sustains that power, I dont know.

I have much intimate knowledge on the subject.

No disrespect to Rennlist and the 991 forum, however the dialogue here has not been supportive of performance modifications to the 9A2B6.

Personally, I have direct metal additive laser printed intercoolers, hybrid turbo upgrade based upon the OEM housings with Garrett GenII DBB center sections, and have contracted Dyno Spectrum to provide the DME calibration.

Project goal is 600WHP on 92 pump and a nice smooth linear torque curve, the hardware I have is capable of supporting much more.

So why don't you answer the OP's question?

What answer do you want?

OP asked three questions.

I provided answers to each of the questions.

Yes, there are people on the board who have upgraded the turbos (I'm one), yes, there are manufacturers (I listed three). My results are 600WHP which is a common number.
