My New 2019 Targa GTS & Initial Observations
My obligatory "proud father" post. I took her straight from the dealership to the detail shop for a front half clear wrap and triple ceramic coating. Just got her back Friday 5/24/2019 but can't really drive her until tomorrow (have to let the coating cure). So... only 33 miles in the first week but I'll start putting them on tomorrow for sure.
More pics (including interior) are at https://photos.app.goo.gl/YC5Kgy6kgzsfoPFq9
You can click the Porsche Code in my sig for exact build details but the highlights are:
GT Silver/Espresso Interior
Rear Axle Steering
Sport Design Rear Deck List
Center Lock Wheels
Observations
The car puts a real big smile on my face when I drive it.
I went back and forth between Black Leather and Espresso Brown "natural" leather. The last item change I made was the interior from black to Espresso Brown. I could not be happier. The Espresso Brown is a very rich brown and in the shade it can appear almost black. Well worth the extra $$$ for that and it goes very well with the GT Silver.
The Bose stereo isn't near as bad as I expected. Keep in mind I'm not an audiophile but I do like to listen to music. I think it could use a tweeter upgrade but it really isn't *that* bad.
Rear Axle steering - I haven't driven enough to notice yet lol
Sport Design Package (on GTS this adds the rear deck lid with the lip) - $1500 seemed like a lot for that but it really adds to the car. Gives it a little extra.
Deviated Stitching - I chose no deviated stitching on my build and am very happy with the result. At one point I was close to adding it to my build but ended up not pulling the trigger. The Espresso Brown looks great without it.
Anyway, tomorrow I get to start enjoying it. I've liked the 1,000 mile, etc reviews I've read so I'll add my own after I pass that milestone.

Looking great. And I share your love for the Espresso. In my all previous 911s the black was my primary choice (although I had a lighter optioned C2S with Agate Grey / Pebble Grey combo too), however my current car came with Cognac/Espresso leather and I love how it works out. Espresso is beautiful almost dark tint of the brown. I think you made a great choice. I love deviated stitching though
Looking forward to your posts sharing your experience with your beauty ")

Not a big tint guy. However, looks tasteful on your build. Enjoy

Welcome
Though only speaking from a lowly 4S POV, the Targa is a very special car and you will enjoy your beauty. Well spec'd in Espresso as is mine. The leather smell is great with the natural leather. Congrats!!! Looking forward to your 1k comments.
