2016 Targa 4S CPO Price Help
1st time poster here. I'm haggling with with Porsche Toronto on a 2016 Targa 4S (quite heavily optioned, sport chrono, sport exhaust, bose, adaptive seats, etc) with ~13K KMs. Brand new the MSRP w/equivalent options would be ~CAD$165K. The dealer listed for C$144K, dropping to $139.5K, and won't budge. I realize this isn't an exact science, but ~15% discount to MSRP seems like poor value, especially considering it's a 3 yrold car (low mileage not withstanding) and it's a generation old (as I understand it this is the last 991.1 model, '17-19 are 991.2s....though I know most prefer the sound of the 991.1 NA engine).
That said, if you want a Targa (I do), this is clearly a sellers market given it's the spring / summer, and there are only 2-3 nationally for sale.
Any thoughts? Am I splitting hairs, or is it infact crazy to pay this much for a 2016 Targa 4S considering I could find a C4 for nearly the same price in a '18 or even '19?

Appears that Canadian dealerships don't budge much with pricing, likely due to their lower sales volume.
I would deal with Pfaff if you are in the Toronto region as they are tops in Canada for volume. Their inventory of used and new cars is impressive and you might get a better deal there.
Good luck.

If the Targa is within your budget and a car YOU like buy it. I love my Targa GTS and had thought about getting a new Speedster but I cannot bring myself to do it since it is such a great car all around - looks, performance, etc.

Welcome to CDN dealership pricing on slim pickings in general but in this case, a rare model. Simple economics seems to rule. Check out Autotrader as there are a couple newer Targas available in that price range.

I'll echo previous thoughts...buy the car you want for the price you want to pay. It's going to be a depreciating piece of metal regardless. Find what you want, spend what you want to spend, and let the rest worry about itself. Life is short, can't take any of these items with you.
