Base Carrera is what drew me into the 991.2. Phenomenal car. Then I discovered the GTS and swiftly went for that.

The T was just being released while I was searching. After driving the GTS the T felt like it was the baby brother to the GTS.

I Totally missed that point, but I think in general most people buying a new 911 are not typically pinching pennies . But yes I agree price is potentially a deciding factor regarding how fun the T is “still” minus a significant amount of optional equipment.

Enjoy what you have, folks. Life is short. Every car forum has their share of narcissists and bickering.

Yep, solid analogy. The T will easily run with the .1 GTS.

The T touched S pricing points, so it is really a personal preference. I can't imagine the 44 or so pounds the T shed really makes that much difference in day to day driving. Not knocking the T here, I drove one recently, it is a wonderful, fun car to drive.

Not because its not good because it is. Indeed, you are getting 991.2 GTS level performance in an S. I just wanted/expected more so have decided to wait for 992 GTS.
Chris, thank you. I just remembered you being enthusiastic about 992 Thanks for sharing your experience.

The best advice on the thread.

If you are trying to decide to buy, that's one thing. But if there's a 991.2 already in the garage, I suspect some options might mean more to us than which model it is.

Love that avatar. First time I saw that, I thought about turning it into a meme:

PORSCHE

Because who wants to follow a horse's a**?

Love the pics. Heavy bias on the chalk GTS
Are those aftermarket wheels on it? If so, then which ones?

Not in Belgium anymore. Just moved. In the process of registering the cars in my new country.

Thanks for the offer, but not planning to upgrade the brakes at present. Will need to re-build my savings first.

Oops! Might be my fault, sorry. Having admired the pic and read that Chris had driven and/or owned many variants of the 991.2, I asked if he’d driven a T.

I really didn’t intend to create another thread debating the overall pros and cons of the T.

Apologies for unintentionally hijacking your thread, Chris.

Ok, was just curious to know.
I think I saw your 964 in an issue of Total911, and back then already noticed the Belgian plates.

Good luck at your new destination
