Default Exhaust temp sensor?

Hello , does anyone know if there is some sensor which can detect abnormal temperature for the exhaust system ?

EGTs are usually monitored by the ECU. If you have the proper diagnostic tools and software, you shoukld be able to pull info from via OBD.

haha - thought I was in an aviation forum for a minute. EGT and CHT is very important on normally aspirated, air cooled aircraft engines

No, there is no such sensor (installed from the factory).

i am trying to understand how hot the exhuast and muffler can be, and if it can cause the fire if anything like leaf sticks...
