Default At what point can I add one quart of oil?

My check oil level is reading ok, but it's not showing 100%. From memory, I think there are 6 fill indicator/hash lights and two of mine are out.

Never add more than 200 mls between drive cycles. Slow and steady wins the race.

No need to add oil. If its above the minimum level but below the maximum level then its exactly as it should be.

If it makes you feel better add a little oil and run the car. If you are 1 hash mark below full it is perfect.

In the .1 manual, it states "The difference between the minimum and maximum marks on the segment display is approx. 1.8 quarts (1.7 liters)." In the .2 manual, it says 1.4 quarts. But as others have said, when adding oil, add a little drive....check again, repeat as necessary.

Okay thanks. I've got some leftover 996 anxiety about engine oil and IMS.

I'll chill and flog it. Add 200mls at a time as nneeded.

You can find the recommended oil measurement guidelines in your manual. As stated by others, “DO NOT” top off or go beyond the second from the top bar, (refer to sec A) as illustrated in the examples on the attached image.
