Had some fun with my new toy. Tried early in the morning and my tires weren't catching great (still ran 3.9). This one is on a full tank at about 71 degrees. I also just tried mashing the throttle and was in the 4.1-4.3 second range.
the base Carrera does the same in 3.5 secs with pdk. What gives?
I think thats because magazines use the 1ft rollout standard so their stats are 0.3 sec faster than actual time (if the car hooks up perfectly). Its probably more like 3.7-3.8 for the base.
On the other hand, the vbox default setting starts timng as soon as there is motion (rollout off), so it records the actual 0-60 time (which is what manufacturers report, not magazines). if you factor in the rollout the OP’s time was probably closer to 3.2 sec (which would be a direct comparison to the reported 3.5 for the carrera). OP check your settings and let us know if the 1ft rollout was on or off.
Interestingly, Dragy started reporting both numbers on the same run just recently, so you can actually measure 1 ft rollout and determine how good your launch was. 0.3-0.4 sec difference is a perfect hook up. Probably closer to 0.2 sec for awd high hp cars (600+hp).

Rollout was off. I don't like the 1 ft rollout...that's not a true 0-60 in my mind
I'll stick with my 911 Turbo S at 2.6 sec!!!!!!!!!!!!
I did a bunch of launches in a new Turbo S at the PEC in Atlanta followed by hard braking. The dang g-meter registered the same for launch as it did for full brake. Crazy!

When did you run that or just reporting what others have done or others can do?
The TTS is an awesome car. The OP took out his car, run it and reported the actual numbers he was able to obtain down. A fast TTS does not take away from his performance.
VBOX Sport. I used to have an old g-meter (accelerometer) and it was a PITA to use. The VBOX Sport is incredibly easy / intuitive to use. Hooks up to your iPhone and their app is excellent.
