Thoughts on this CPO 2016 GTS
Looking to get into my first Porsche and came across this:
https://www.porscheirvine.com/certif...f9e82ac61b.htm
What is everyone’s thoughts on this car? Fair price? Seems like it’s been on the lot a while. Any explanation why?
Thanks!

CPO 2016 is right around the 101 mark at 10k miles for a "good" normal deal. These things held value so stinking well otherwise that you rarely see them for under 100k with under 15k miles unless there is some spec issue.

2015s are trading around 97-100K with less than 15K miles, 2016s are 100-105K. Looks like a very nice car considering the low miles and CPO, 2016s have a higher premium than 2015s, these GTS are the last of the N/A and are the best sounding 991s around (with exception of GT3s). If I was in the market for a 991.1 white GTS, this would be on top of my list and I would go as high as 105K on it. My only issue would be the seats, I can't stand 14 way, I rather have 4 way or 18 way as you get the sports seat.

If it’s the car you want, config etc then go and do the best you can. To me a few K one way or the other will not mean much after a few years especially if the cars a keeper. I would try and get as close to 100 as possible but the dealer won’t give this away going into summer.

Appreciate the responses. They confirm what my gut was telling me. I had hoped to get out of there at 100,000 , but dealer stuck to their “No Haggle” policy.
Car has a few blemishes - small rock chips, front spoiler scrapes ( are there spoilers in these cars that are not scraped?) It’s a lease return and cosmetically doesn’t appear to have received the care of an enthusiast.
One more question this thread has made me think about is the value I should place on N/A car. My concerns about condition have me considering later models. I find later models also have updated dash gear as well.

Looks like an average build in average (leased) condition. You could probably do better. You still should be able to find a better cared for 2016 GTS still under warranty with a private party sale. Find one that's had Expel or Suntek paint film protection from new and you will be happy you did. I attached a copy of the build sheet for you.

I would confirm it having a backup camera. I can’t remember if they were standard on 16’ or not. Not having 18 way seats can narrow your resale audience. Also it doesn’t have cooled seats, but that may not matter to many.
Also remember it’s spring to sports car sales (especially Porsche dealers) know they can keep the prices higher. If it ticks every box for you then do it. Maybe offer a couple grand lower, but it depends on how long it’s been sitting at the dealer. White seems to be a common color for these GTS’s meaning you can wait around and more will pop up.
You would get a better deal from a private sale obviously. And I think you’d be better waiting for someone selling private that has cared for it well. Just take it to a reputable PPI Porsche shop/mechanic.

Haha “no haggle policy” is BS! That just means they think it’s a hot item. I’d keep looking. Patience will payoff in the end. Don’t fall for the dealership tricks/psychology.

Price too high, no haggle and I walk.
I cannot overstate the "suggested" in MSRP!
Reminds me of a recent Presidential candidate whose party was called "Rent is Too Damn High Party."
We need a PAC (as in a Porsche Action Committee), we can name it "The Price is Too Damn High!"

OP - don’t take my word for it (or anyone else’s), since sound (like styling) can be subjective - listen for yourself, VERY different. You really have to have them side by side to hear just HOW different. Good luck! -Dom

I agree the 991.2 has merits that are worth being considered (CarPlay, torque, some exterior styling cues) but I do not think you can make one sound “just about as good” with HFC.
