I have a 2015 991 GTS C2 that was delivered with PCM 3.1, Version 4.76. I recently ordered the newly announced Map update which arrived in 3 discs entitled:

1) PCM 3.0, Version 2.23 Multimedia Update CD for 911 Boxster Cayman Cayenne and dated 05/2012

2) PCM 3.0, Version 2.24 Multimedia Update Disc for 911 Boxster Cayman Cayenne and dated 06/2013

3) PCM 3.1, No version noted Multimedia Update Disc for 911 Boxster Cayman Cayenne Panamera and dated 06/2013

The discs come with no explanation of which discs are intended for which PCM or year of vehicle. My dealer has no additional information and the discs are non-returnable.

Any help would be appreciated.

And now my confusion which is shared by my local dealer. Is it safe to load disc number 3 dated 06/2013 without a version noted onto a 2015 PCM 3.1 version 4.76? Will it downgrade what I already have in Version 4.76?

The Map update is separate from PCM update. Updating the maps should not have any impact on PCM as I understand it. I am just surprised to see the 2013 date if this is the latest update. Suncoast just advertised new maps on their site - wonder what date they show. Is this where you got yours from?

Got mine from Suncoast last week. The cover says:

License Key for
PCM 3.0/PCM 3.1 Navigation Database America
Sportscar/ Panamera 2018

The dates on each disc say 2012 or 2013.

Those are not the Map update discs. Those are old SWV 3.xx and 4.xx discs. The disc for 4.76 is part number WKD-952-800-17.

You need what FREEMAN says above for the Maps. Maps and software updates are two different things. You can load Software updates if you have the discs. You CANNOT load the map updates because the dealer has to authorize them with their coder (PIWIS I think).

The 06.2013 update disc part number 000-044-901-54 is an earlier software version. I have those discs you mention as well. They are old.You can press INFO/SOURCE to see the map version.

Can you show a picture of the DVD and part number? My dealer can't seem to figure out how to get it.

My dealer cannot either. I bought them from Suncoast who sent me a Porsche technical bulletin for installation that says PCM 3.1 will be updated, depending on the version you now have, with Version 3.42 or 4.52. I have version 4.76 which I received in 2015 when I bought my GTS. I do not understand the logic of considering 3.42 or 4.52 and "update" of 4.76.

I suddenly need those update disc v2.23 and 2.24 for PCM3.
Anyone still have them, especially 2.23.
