Hey folks,
I recently attempted to fix the seat bottom on my 2015 TTS due to some indentations. Long story short, I think it’s beyond repair due to an error on my part. At this point is my best option to buy the replacement seat cover from Porsche? They are the ventilated seats in black. I did some searching online and it’s looking like $1400 or so, which is obviously pricey. Any suggestions or places to get one cheaper?
thanks guys! I’ll refrain from this repair work in the future.....yikes!

i was using an iron with a wet rag around it to shrink the leather dents back to normal but botched the job by not removing the leather oil conditioner I had put on the seat first. The seat bottom is now discolored.....I know, dumb move on my part.

It appears a quality upholstery shop could replace the very bottom seat portion (where your bottom sits, not the bolsters). If so, how does one source the matching perforated black leather?

Bite the bullet and get the Porsche OEM seat cover, which is pretty much the only way you will get an exact match, and the real stuff at that. Check Sunset, Suncoast and a couple more and buy the one that sells for less, which is the only way you can save a few bucks....lesson learned.

Have your dealer look into getting it as a CXX option and he may give you the woman at PCNA contact info so you can discuss your needs with her.

Seeing as how my seats are currently being repaired due to a tow company putting parts from my car onto the back and front leather seats, I can tell you that any leather for the seats when ordered has to be made in Germany and sent over. No dealer will have what you need.

I would try a quality upholstery shop. The shop I use has genuine Porsche Napa smooth leather hides and a variety of other kinds for Ferrari’s, Lamborghini, etc. Should be cheaper than the dealer for just the bottom panel-wouldn’t hurt to check. My shop is E3 customs in South Florida-look them up and give them a ring, I am sure they will be glad to help and you can even ship your parts to them and they will ship it back if you can’t find a quality shop in your area.

I bet you a good leather repair shop can fix it 100%
Color match, tears, rips, etc are repairable
