My plat silver paint has a bunch of flake in it and although the factory rims match the color they do not match the flake. Can you put flake in powder coat ? I can not see water based paint lasting any amount of time on a rim.

powder coat warning: I had to repair a wheel and got it powder coated. I dont know if something went wrong or if its the color we chose to match GT silver but Ive had some issues with chemicals affecting the finish. in particular the lubricant they used to install tires naturally got on the wheel and dripped down the front a bit and there is discoloration on the powder coat that I have not been able to resolve.
