Default Glass Polish for windshield

My 991 has a "swipe" arch marking on the passenger's side of the windscreen from the wiper. This was realized when I purchased the car (CPO no doubt). I really can't feel it with a fingernail, but it is not coming off with glass cleaner or car wax and elbow grease. What (if any) glass polishers are out there I can use with an orbital?

You need cerium oxide. Mix with water. You will also need special thin polishing pads. Lots of videos on how to use it. I had the same issue and was able to remove ithe mark completely. Be aware that it's labor intensive

Have you tried to clay it? I periodically clay my windshield and am amazed at the crap that I can see in the clay.

+1

You need Rayon Glass Polishing Pads if you’re going to use a orbiting machine plus the CeriGlass Polish.

0000 Steel Wool will polish (almost) anything off a pitted windshield. Start with light pressure and gently work your way up to more pressure as needed.
Warning: ONLY "0000 Steel Wool" will do.
Anything rougher WILL scratch your glass.

And use it with some vinegar and keep it wet, which is what I used in the past for the same issue and it appeared to have worked just as well as any other fancy stuff.

Thank you all. I did clay it a couple of times but did not see any reduction. I will start with the 0000 and progress from there

Before you hit it with steel wool have you tried a glass polish with micro fiber pad on an orbital buffer like Griots or Zaino?
I'm sure 000 steel wool is a great last option.

I doubt you will have any luck with steel wool if what you have is a mark in the glass rather than some deposit on the glass.
