Default Where to buy Fidelity Warranty?

My car is a CPO with one year left so was thinking of getting a Fidelity to continue coverage. Recommendations on where to buy and pricing?

Search the forum for extended warranty and you will find several recommendations, but Mike Jordon at Mossy is my recommendation.

Many, many Threads on this. He is the one most often mentioned I believe. I have spoken to him before. He is at a dealership in New Orleans (regular but can't remember what, not Porsche), but somehow gets good discounts on Fidelity. Side business for him and not his main gig in Finance.

I messaged your dealer and they said the following FYI:

“Unfortunately, I am not able to offer any warranties on a car that is out of the Factory warranty without having an inspection done here per our new dealership policy.”

Interesting. I wonder if all the people I recommended her to caused the change in policy. I thought it would be reasonable to have another dealer to the inspection. I wonder how Mr Jourdan handles it, he's not even a Porsche dealer.

Yeah if it is the same guy I am thinking of, he will only write cars that are within the new car warranty period.

Mike was good to talk with when I was looking. He would write a Fidelity warranty on any car that I had asked about and the pricing was very competitive. I ended up not using him since I bought a CPO car. However, if I do end up keeping my car past this year, then I will definitely be contacting him for a warranty on it.

Varies based on the year of the car, term, deductible, etc.

Yes, it seems that Fidelity does not recognie a CPO warranty so it’s much easier to get one if your car is still under original factory warranty. I’m looking to purchase mine locally due to the inspection requirement for it being out of warranty so if anyone knows of a good place to go in NorCal, info would be appreciated.

This is an aftermarket warranty, so I’m not sure why a Porsche inspection would be relevant. From my reading, I don’t believe folks getting warranties through Mossy Motors are getting any inspections completed. Warranty takes a few weeks and a certain amount of miles to go into effect so it can’t be used for preexisting conditions.

When I went to the closest dealer to discuss extended warranties, they charged me $250 for the inspection. I decided to hold on a purchase due to the low mileage and time remaining on factory warranty.

I will buy the extended warranty as I near the end of the original factory. I prefer not to wince when presented with repair bills.

I did get a quote months ago, but am waiting for the Fin Mgr. to get back to me with current quotes. I will PM you once I get the numbers.

Someone will correct me if I am incorrect. I believe the milestone of 20 or 25K miles makes the price jump - even if you are within the factory warranty. Mine expires in a few months and I'm sitting at about 17K.
