New 911t owner!!!
#18
The color was not “loud” and it had backseats-room for 4!!! I posted a thread here on a few options to chose from for 911ts and the consensus was this fit the bill the best. In the end, I wanted a few things to stay true to the 911t:
It had to be manual and had to have at least one of the following options:
Rear wheel steering, LWB’s, or pccb’s.
Lwbs got knocked off quick as there was no backseat. This car fit the bill as it had rws and was also slicktop (true to being slightly lighter). We negotiated and struck a deal. Thanks to forum member @carerrat (Chuck) who had some insight on this particular car and spent some time with it. He spoke to me about it and I was confident buying it sight unseen. They shipped the car to me and picked up my gt4

Great story. Nice 911!
Looks like catless pipes from here. I put em on mine, and the sound is awesome with PSE turned on. And the turbo whistles come out, especially in Sport+ Best accessory I ever bought. Would love to compare sound with the 200 cell race cats. Haven't heard one with those yet.
Anything else planned? Tune? Is that what the dyno comment is about? I'm thinking about a COBB tune, so am interested. Thinking about running a poll on here to find out how many and what percentage have installed a tune or are thinking about one. Some will never. I'm on the fence, with nearly 40 months of new warranty remaining.
Don't forget the PPF/wrap. And tint for South FL. I went with the 70% ceramic to minimize that blacked out look, and it still makes it much more comfortable to drive here in Central FL.

Thanks-yes the car is getting tuned. I sent the ecu to Cobb to get unlocked and the process was seamless and awesome! I think currently the hydra tune is a good option but I got a really good deal on my Cobb that I couldn’t pass up. John at Bgb will be doing the protune for me and I am sure he will do a awesome job. Next week I plan to dyno the Cobb OTS stage 1 vs a completely stock car. From there I will install the catless pipes and start the protune. Once we are satisfied with the protune I will dyno again at the same dyno in as close to the same conditions as I can. The good part about this car is it already had full front xpel ppf and 3m crystaline tint! It also came with Oem roof racks which I plan to use as I have a cargo carrier and may put a bike on it once in a while. I do plan to add some additional ppf (headlights, a pillar/partial roof and replace the oem ppf by the rear wheel as it’s starting to yellow).

Where will you do the dyno run?

Doing the dyno by a shop in pompano beach (about an hour from where I live in Jupiter). @BGB Motorsports is going to do the protune remotely (same way they did it on my gt4). John and Wray are great people-you should go check them out!

Here’s another upgrade I did this week:
Changed the oem battery to an Antigravity rs30. Saved 40+ lbs right away!!! I had one my gt4 and it was great!
Yes-it’s really that light including all brackets
Yes-it’s really that heavy
Not too shabby

Thanks! I will use this thread to update my tuning solution. I was very close to pulling the trigger on the hydra Motorsports tune as they are local to me and produce some good gains. What was holding me back was the ability to switch maps on the fly as eventually I would like to have an e85/partial e85 map (e30, etc). I had a Cobb accessport on my gt4 and loved it. I know the progress to release the data for the 991.2 has been slow with them-but I have faith. I had my por007 accessport for the gt4 listed for sale so I can put those funds toward whichever tune I was going with...
