Not saying he's the vandal, but some odd posts and behavior in my opinion. Whatever I guess.

Well, a great opportunity for someone to get rid of that ugly *** stripe gt2 rs come with, free of charge. It's just paint on a track car, not really a big deal. People overeact too much. Just make this MORE public and ask for mrsp or a discount.

Maybe I am naive. The OP provided specific facts and the window stickers show the cars being shipped to a dealer that now claims not to have them. The OP registered in December 2018 so unless he has been playing a long game he seems legit. In this small world the dealer knows of this thread and would have disputed the facts if they were blatantly wrong.

My dealer has at least 7 GT cars. There's another in town that I'm not sure on of on their inventory. Most of them have "ask for pricing" labels on them.. The GT2 has a separate sign making it clear that the MSRP is not the asking price.

Hmm... Again. their website does not list any GT2 RS cars for sale... http://www.porschedowntownla.com/new...odel%5B%5D=911

My recollection is somebody on Rennlist said last year that Porsche had pushed GTS production into 2019 to make as many GT3's as possible in the second half of 2018, before some new EU tax or restriction went into place on January 1 2019. Does anybody else remember this...

i was just at porsche of irvine today to pick up parts for my 73S and saw three 991.2 3RS' (one green, one green with grey wrap and a yellow), two 991.1 RS' (white and red/orange), one 991.2 2RS (PTS coral orange looking w/WP) and one 997.2 3RS (PTS black - clearly wrung hard on track) on the showroom floor. i also think there was another 991.2 3 RS on the parking lot in the front. sale guys were delusional on mark-up for 3RS'; 2RS was for about $75k over; which for that car seemed fair. one sale person admitted that Porsche made too many 3RS and they were starting to stack up at dealers; he also said GT3's were hard to come by and sell quickly (probably due to lower to no ADM and lower overall buy-in vs. RS); especially the manuals and particularly the Tourings.

Recent auction Amelia Island had qty 2 Gt2 RS sell for below MSRP. Tell the dealer to take a hike. And when they call you telling you that they will,go,out of their way and sell for MSRP, tell them your new offer is 20k below.

NBA players must be tired of them and on to something else. After living in Germany (5 years) I can't understand for the life of me why anyone in the States would want a car they can barely use.

Ya’all are crazy to be paying sticker on a car that needs to be half repainted. If you’re going to keep it, whatever, but most of us won’t and good luck finding someone who’s going to pay what you want for a car that was repainted.

What offsite lot? They keep their cars on the roof of the dealership. I’m taking my car there for service Monday, I’ll see if I can get the scoop or grab pics of any of the cars that are supposed to be damaged. I know the GM as I’ve bought a few cars from them.

Seems to be the case around the country. Between 991.1 and now .2's, that's quite alot of cars and many of the same guys keep trading up and dumping the old ones. Plus Porsche has bumped up production for the USA and I think the many who were buying for a quick flip or buck are dropping like flies.
They are cars and depreciate like the rest of them. That's the reality that always come to be ..
These aren't limited production cars guys. The perceived scarcity is manufactured by the dealers and flippers. Pretty soon 992 GT's will be here as well. The thought that these cars will never depreciate is idiotic and naive.

Or shove the auction results in their face and tell them MSRP or pound sand.
