How expensive and complicated is it to change interior trim?
Hey guys,
Looking at a red 991.2 4s that has the whole interior trim pieces painted guards red, I'm interested in the car although I find this pretty intense lol.
how difficult and $$$$ is it to replace the interior trim with the aluminium one? also, the front bumper has been drilled to put a licence plate, is that difficult to repair?
Thanks
Ian
you can't see it but the door trim is also red

Thanks Shammerman,
it's not too bad, do you know if it's hard to DIY install those trim pieces?

Door trim is a pain as I don't believe it can be easily removed (unlike the other trim parts) without damaging the door panel.
Some guys just glue a trim part over it, but it's not the same.
You are right, painted interior (esp. brighter colours) is intense.....

It is intense, but I think if you only remove the red trim from the vents and around the temp cluster, it’ll look good. Red is a tough color to swallow, it’s just in your face.

The only hard one is the doors. You can’t buy just the trim separately so you have to find used. Everything else is just megabucks to do.
personally I would wrap them or look for someone to trade. I also think you might get used to it and like it.

The console trim piece is super easy to replace, it just pops out. I changed mine to leather. Also, the side vents are super easy to pull out. I also had to do it for the tweeter upgrade.

I honestly have no idea. But I am a fan of the painted interior trim - nice contrast in an all-black interior. But the vents are a little over the top for me.
I have a sapphire blue painted interior (no vents, though, and none around the HVAC controls). I went with GT silver seatbelts to match the deviated GT silver stitching.
