The frunk one is super easy. Just remove the large black plastic cowel cover. Then remove the cover (about 5 or 6 tabs lock it in place) over the paper filter on the passanger side by the firewall.

The cabin one is easy to do, but hard to access. Move the passanger seat all the way back. Climb uner the glove box. Remover the flexible foam cover, and replace the charcoal cabin filter.

These are really straightforward to change.

The filter below the glovebox is kind of a pain to reach, though. Remove three plastic screws, remove some foam, release the tabs on the airbox and manhandle the filter into place.

The filter under the hood is dead simple. No tools required, just remove the plastic cover that stretches all the way across the car (the same one you'd remove to get to the battery). Release some tabs on the filter airbox on the passenger side and the filter just slides in and out.

Out of curiosity, how long does it take to get them to the point where they need replacing, normal street driving?

I feel like these are a yearly replacement if you're sensitive to environmental irritants, otherwise probably fine to go 2-3 years.

I'll probably go bi-annual as I only did 4,000 miles last year

Thanks to those who posted tips and instructions, made the job easier but it is a pain in the ***. Agree with poster who said it would be much easier if car was up on lift.

How does a lift help? One filter is topside and the other is interior...
