Default Differences in turbos of the 991.2 Base, S and GTS?

Does anyone know they actual specs on the turbos in each car, 991.2 base, S and GTS?

Also could the larger turbos of a higher level care be fitted to lower level car? If so, has anyone done it?

On an 991.2 S you can fit the X51 kit to bring it up 30HP, same as the GTS to 450HP. However, it's an expensive mod.

Having a 4S, the expense isn't worth the extra power to me, I have more than enough with the S option.

49mm, 50mm, 52mm I think.

Yes, you can. You'd need a tune to take advantage of the turbos.

Stage 1 tune in a C2 will get you on level to stock GTS power.
Stage 1 tune on a GTS will get you closer to Turbo power.

I know there are turbo upgrade kits; in theory you could take GTS turbos and strap them to a base C2. With a proper tune, you'd be making a lot of power.

Have fun with your stock power and move along.

Below are the compressor and turbine wheel sizes
Carrera
49mm/45mm
S
51mm/45mm
GTS
55mm/48mm

i haven’t been able to find anything on housing sizes but have heard base and s are same size and GTS has a larger frame.

The GTS Turbo bolts right up to the Base engine. To make this work correctly you need the Pro Tune from Cobb. The trick is to tell the Base ECU it's now a GTS. I'm still waiting on Cobb to finish their Pro Tune software work.

I realize that. What I was mentioning was the GTS turbos hace larger housings so they can flow more air, or have a large A/R, than the S, not just larger wheels.

Not!!
After selling my S turbocharger take-offs to a SoCal tuner, my net cost for the X51 upgrade of my S was $3800 + tax. And that also included the added fear brake cooling and 4 year new car warranty. But i did already have SC and PSE, which are required for the upgrade. I think that's CHEAP!
The 10% extra torque of the X51 PowerKit is worth a lot more than the 7% Hp increase, except at high Autobahn speeds.

I'll move along just fine, go ahead and spend/modify all you want, it's your money. It'll gain you a few tenths off on your acceleration times. It's what all the aftermarket tuners want, keeps them in business.

Enjoy.

Glad it worked out for you, for me, the extra power is a waste for 99% of the driving conditions I experience daily. Can't use what is already in the car because of that fact.

If money isn't an issue, spend it and be happy. Don't know what the OP's budget and target result is so it all a guess.

... and remember that D difference in action that happens (flow) is a function of diameters squared.

I know that what do you think I am dumb? Squared hypothesis of the roundness by pie gives fast car. More than a few tenths try a few thiusandsths more like it. Fast.

Ha ha 😂 .I didn't type that capital D in there, Swipe-Dragon inserted that. But it is funny the way it reads "D difference" Maybe Swipe-Dragon is more clever than I thought! 😃
