These are what mine looked like after I put the Black lettered decals over the White OEM ones:

I have PCCBs now and they came with Black lettering:

Well I'm glad I found this thread. The previous owner of my '17 991.2 CPO I bought four months ago had the stock base calipers powder coated red. I kind of winced when I saw the color in the dealer pictures; knowing it was highly unlikely that S brakes were fitted. (Based on the look of the calipers I am 99% sure they are base brakes).

Anyway, I mulled over putting them back to black, but have decided I kind of like them. The red seems to compliment the GT Silver; it gives a little splash of color in the wheel interior. Of course he (I assume) also removed all the rear deck lid script; but I did not like the nekkid butt look so had my local dealer supply and fit all three of the badges, which I think looks much better.

Anyway, glad that it sounds like I won't be drummed out of the Corps for having Red calipers on a base 911.

What about putting a turbo badge on an all electric car??

Of the brakes? Well, I'm pretty sure they are stock front brakes, since the disk measures 330 mm across, and they don't have the aluminum hub / cast iron friction ring of the S brakes. They look pretty though lol...

I agree with the majority that it's your car so do as you like.

However, I would be concerned about the durability of rattle-can paint. So, I would consider removing the calipers and taking them to someone to be powder coated.

Painting the calipers the color you want is no different than any other CXX option, customization, or detail change.

Do what you like.

Here is my factory ordered debadged GTS. Does this make me a Carrera T wannabe?
