Porsche 991 dash chrono clock
i dont have the chrono option. I want to retrofit a clock to center dash and connect to pcm for clock to work. I found a dahs clock from ebay that came out from panemera. Does this clock work on my 991 ?
Sorry not to answer but related question. I have Sport Chrono and I really can't see the point except for the cosmetic clock at mega-cost. I never track, I only ever use Sport mode not Plus, and I actually find the little stalk on previous car to be easier than the dial for selecting Sport. What are the other advantages of speccing Sport Chrono? I seem to think that with Sports Exhaust it enables a better sound and throttle blip but could be wrong.
The clock in our cars interfaces digitally and is not just a simple powered clock. For example, when the car goes to sleep the clock resets the hands to straight up position, then moves them back to the current time when the car is started again. If you change the time settings in the PCM, the clock updates accordingly. It also automatically syncs to GPS time.
Porsche is notorious for not providing the connectors for options not installed in the car, and similarly, not providing the data outputs from the computer for options that are not configured. While I'd stop short of saying that it is 100% not possible, I think it is very unlikely that this could be retrofitted. Even the official Sport Chrono retrofit doesn't include the clock.

I know some people on the forum did it. Pull the pcm and connect the harness to the clock and pcm and it should work. I just dont know if panemera clock will fit and where to connect the harness to the pcm port.

You could be right. It might work, especially if it plugs into the PCM and not into a special harness plug elsewhere. Hopefully someone with direct experience will see this and pitch in to help.
For others, to buy just the clock will cost about $650, discounted, andif you want a Black trim ring get the GT version otherwise it will have a Silver trim ring
