Carrera 2014 4S will not run in the cold
Located in Western Massachusetts, put the 2014 911 4S away for the winter ( garage storage) ,ran just fine, went to run it, started ok but after several minutes died like out of fuel ( has fuel )..Eventually check engine light but ok to drive came on.
Any advise ?

Yikes. My 1st thought is the battery is flat ... Being 2014 it's close to or has past its end of life.
Was it on a tender while stored? Have a volt meter to double check voltage?

Would like to know more about how you prep'd the car for winter hibernation?
Why did you start the car, if you had it put away for the winter??
Mice???

Storage prep. Probably didn’t have any fuel stabilizer, and didn’t have the tank full when put away.

Do you have an ECU scanner? If the CEL is on then you should start by finding out what is throwing a code.
On a different thread Lexvan freaked me out about hibernation so I've decided to actually drive the car more often during the winter to get the juices flowing. Consider this option.

Lack of fuel stabilizer, less than full tank or battery (it started )shouldn't have any effect. CEL probably means something other than frozen fuel line.Cold is crazy.

What gas did you have in the tank. Don't think it's battery related....most likely fuel. Add some more 93 and stabilizer.

Thanks everybody !! Battery seems fine, did not prep for storage as i assumed from reading the 4S was actually a winter animal, have added 93 Ethanol free, and alcohol based dry gas, will heat the garage and try again this weekend. I have a set of winter rims but out here they got a deal on salt, and guess what ? SALT SALT SALT .I do not have ECU scanner, if you can direct me to what works best i will have one soon.
As for mice, ill be looking .

A little salt ain't gonna hurt it too bad. Wash it whenever you have a chance; undercarraiage when it's warm enough.
Warm up the garage, add the fresh fuel, cycle fuel primer a couple times before going for a crank. I'm guessing some water or bad guess got into the line, causing the stall out. Pumping it out might clear the line and allow the fresh gas to do it thing.

I doubt it's the gas.

Could be something else...but I think it's water contamination in the gas or something.
It started then cut out; make me think it has some ok gas in the line but then grabbed something that impeded combustion...
Battery could be suspect, but if it had enough juice to crank and start, it should be ok...

Probably frozen moisture somewhere.

Get some all seasons or snow tires and drive your 911 in the cold ; you don't know what you are missing -they love breathing in and out the cold air once warmed out. I used to not drive mine much in the winter but now i am semi daileying it if no snow/nominal salt on the roads and I notice the difference in a good way.

You normally don't need to do this. On my other cars, I only really do this when it's really cold.
