For me, I was full stage 1 upgrades on the gt4-it was fast but nothing crazy. I’m ready to
move to a 991.2-I’m a turbo guy at heart. So
much easier to make power, definitely not like the NA experience but I have had both and prefer boost.

Don't do it! A CT will drop $30k in two years and your GT4 won't. For the over $1k/mo in depreciation you could buy a used 997.2 or some other nice used sports car to take the kids and end up with two cars at the end not just one!

Good point-however I can’t keep both as we have too many cars. With the gt4, I’m almost afraid to drive it-at least with the Carrera T I will drive it and enjoy it more-not worrying about the miles at all.

It is when you don’t have a place to keep all of them

To add-gt4’s are losing a bit of value currently but are expected to go back up in time with the 718 gt4 street car on the horizon. If this trade works out, I would only be down about $1.5k from my purchase price 1 year ago.

Keep in mind that LWBS deletes the rear seats - so no provision for the little ones.

Swap for the T. But only if you'll actually use it and not fret about mileage, depreciation, or resale. Life is too short and the cars too good for that... Plenty of cushy T builds to choose from. Good luck!

That's great advice! The CT is great even with no options, just with what it includes standard. Don't fret about a perfect build - they are all good. If the move to a CT will allow you to enjoy the car more than the GT4, and take the little ones when needed, then that seems like a good move.

Yes, let's all choose our cars based on speculated differential depreciation.

For those stuck on depreciation, though, I expect the T will depreciate less than most (all?) other Carreras given its low production and the fact that it's the last ever narrow-bodied 991 (and was met with rave reviews). And we'll have to see what happens with the GT4 when the new one comes out. The way PAG has been producing GT# cars the last several years, it's hard to expect the 718 GT4 will be all that exclusive. I expect many GT4 owners will look to upgrade, much like we see every time the new GT3 comes out.

Thanks everyone for their opinions. Based on the feedback, the first option looks like the one to get. A lot to consider as I am getting a good value for the gt4 trade and a decent price on the T. I think the advice above is golden-if I will be able to use it and have the family enjoy it, it wI’ll be worth every penny.

I checked out the website for Porsche Beachwood. They seem to have another T for sale at $97,994, that is nicely optioned. I traded in my 718 Cayman GTS for a lightly used Carrera T, that I found online back in November. I think it is better to have the regular seats if you need the rear seats.

I put my kids in my T all the time. They love it! If u dont track a 911 makes more sense. Also the 4/18 way sport + seats are pretty darn aggressive for a road seat.
