Default Black Rear Emblems and Part Numbers

My car was rear ended and there was enough damage that I will be replacing the rear bumper cover on my car. In an effort to make lemonade out of lemons, I’m taking the opportunity to order black emblems for my new bumper cover so it will look like the GTS. I would like to order matte black in particular and I believe I have found most of the correct part numbers. I have two issues, however, I was hoping someone else has figured out: (1) I cannot find the part number for “S” emblem in black and (2) there are two part numbers for the “911” emblem in black and its unclear which is correct.

My car is a Sapphire Blue Metallic 991.1 C2S and I would like to make it look like the GTS above. Therefore I will need to order “PORSCHE”, “911”, “Carrera” and “S” emblems in matte black. I have found the following part numbers that correspond to the GTS emblems:

“PORSCHE” emblem in black - 991-559-235-90
“Carrera” emblem in black - 991-559-237-02
“911” emblem in black - 991-559-231-03 OR 991-559-231-04

Does anyone know what the corresponding part number is for the “S” emblem in black and which of the 911 emblembs I should buy? The parts catalog only shows the silver color for the “S”. I did find an S emblem at Suncoast, however, its unclear whether it will match the color of the part numbers above. As to the “911” emblem, my guess is that one is matte black and the other is glossy black, but I have nothing to confirm this.

Any help or guidance is greatly appreciated.

I wanted to update this in case it helps others in the future. I called around to a couple of Porsche parts departments and they advised that the two “911” emblem part numbers are for essentially the same product (991-559-231-03 corresponds to the black emblem on the GTS; 991-559-231-04 corresponds to the black emblem on the GTS with the name designation delete option).

I also confirmed that Porsche does not make an “S” emblem in black. I called Suncoast to ask where they get theirs and they told me they have the black “S” emblems custom made. It seems you can either purchase the black “GTS” emblem and just use the “S” or purchase the stand alone from Suncoast or another custom shop.

I will post some pictures once the car is back together.

Or get them from Eric at Bumperplugs.com, in any color your heart desires, including any emblem as well (look to your far left).

This is a great idea as long as you have the steady hand, patience or maybe the stencil that tells you where each letter goes. Of course one could go to the dealer and pay for it.

Suncoast also has the complete kit for "PORSCHE 911 Carrera 4S" - and you can omit the 4 when installing. It's a couple $ cheaper than buying each word separately.

Make sure to build yourself a nice template to ensure the new pieces go back in exactly the right spots. Good luck!
