To a few us they did and if you spray them Black they will blend it better.

You can't really see the radiator because it's behind the AC condenser. The screen protects the AC condensers, not really the radiators. Yes, technically, the AC condenser looks and functions like a radiator but it's part of the AC system. So as far as heat goes, it depends. I had to replace the AC condenser myself from a rock chip and I installed grill mesh as well.

Well whatever silver piece that has fins and looks like a radiator to me in the outer openings can be seen if one installs black screens, which is why many of us paint those pieces with a rattle can spray of black paint. Search this forums for grills and there will be posts from those that have done it, like me. Needless the say the front bumper openings are close to the ground and not many would see them if left unpainted but then again, why do we all do a lot of little things to these cars that no one really sees? Because for me it is a hobby!
