Wow - I'd be tempted to ask the opposite question about how to keep cold start from being so damn loud. When my wife starts up her Macan Turbo (or occasionally my 991.2) in the garage I can hear it from the other side of the house. I've asked her to inhale a little extra CO and open the garage door AFTER cold start just to be nice to the neighbors.

No judgment though - if you want it to be loud that's cool - I like LexVan's ether idea the most. I hope someone actually tries that and makes a video (ok, not really).

 

My .2 with PSE is louder on start. For maybe 15-20? seconds it sounds like it runs with the valves open. Maybe they changed something with the new model.

 

My 2015 M4 didn't sound like a lawnmower. It sounded like a broken lawnmower. It was embarrassing to start and more than one person asked what was wrong with it. The 991.2 GTS with PSE sounds a million times better.

 

My 991.1 with Fabspeed Valve-tronic valves open cold start sounds pretty dang good. Only thing making it sound better would be A) High flow CATS, B) No exhaust at all..

Did it foam at the mouth? My drips and drools sometimes on cold starts :b
