Default What can you live without? Removing features.

There are plenty of threads regarding additional features to add but haven't found a good thread regarding features you wish you could remove from your car.

I would remove:

Ventilated seats
Electric seats
Electric steering wheel column
Electric Hand brake. Swap for a manual "a la 997"
Hill assist "hold" feature
Although we can all turn it off I still would get rid of the auto start/stop feature

I would remove whatever it is that forces the AC to hold to the specific settings in my seat's memory... I'm still trying to figure out why the AC always goes back to the memory settings rather than whatever it was last set to on the previous drive.

...And why there does not seem to be a way to have it "remember" to be Off.

If someone knows of a settings procedure to fix this, please let me know.

The only item I would consider on a future build are the Sport Tek Seats with 4 way power adjustments which includes the manual pull lever for back and forth movement on floor rails. Interior photos of many RL members Carrera Ts look spectacular, the deviated stitching is a nice touch too.

My a/c does not come on when I start the car. Like most settings, I thought it was tied to the key or Memory 1/Memory 2. I locked in my preferred settings by pushing Mem 1/Mem 2 AND KEY Button.

I can't believe I paid so much for illuminated door sill guards in carbon fiber with model designation. I don't know what I was thinking. Ridiculous expense for something so unimportant and rarely seen. Now when I see it, it only serves to remind me of the money I wasted.

A better thread would be what options does your current car have that you could live without.

I could do without the ventilated seats, lighted door seals and the full leather interior.

Parking sensors, what an ugly annoyance that I'm constantly turning off.

My current car turned out to be an exercise in what I could live without. I couldn't find a car with all the options I was looking for so I ended up foregoing sport seats plus, full leather, PSE, and Carrera S wheels. I don't really miss any of the ones that can't easily be retrofitted (leather and seats). But I will be adding PSE and am on the lookout for platinum Carrera S wheels.

But instead I ended up with four-wheel drive(!), sport PASM, and Premium package plus, so I think I'm doing ok.

I love all the options my loaded C2S Endurance Racing Edition is equipped with, except for that stupid one that shuts off the engine at stop lights. Id pay to remove that button. And i could also do without the 7th gear. Never use it Maybe if i were just about out of fuel and trying to make it to a gas station 30 miles away...

Auto start stop, I keep that one off. Everything else I love all the creature comforts while having a performance vehicle, If I didn't want any creature comfort, then I would have a totally stripped race car for daily driving.
