Default 991.1 vs 991.2 TPMS

I have some wheels and TPMS sensors from a 991.1 on my 991.2. I purchased them second hand and when installing them I did not think that there would be any issues. After driving for a couple of days, the car has not connected to the 991.1 sensors - with the driver center set to learn. I have verified with a scan tool that the batteries are normal and the frequencies of both the sensors are 433MHz.

The OEM Porsche part numbers for the sensors are different but I figured these would be universal or at least standardized because tire stores can't carry all OEM parts.

Am I missing something? Do I need to give it more time?

I had the same problem. I bought some winter wheels for my 991.2 GTS which were from a 991.1 GT3. The wheels fit, but the sensors were not compatible. I just dealt with the error message for the first winter (last winter). This fall, I ordered the correct sensors from Tire Rack for half the price of the OEM ones (but they look identical) and then I had them swapped. Reach out to Damon at Tire Rack and he'll get you the right sensors.

Did the issue self resolve or did you have to purchase new ones?
