Order placed 11/5/18, vehicle finished production 11/23, arrived Emden 11/27, departed Emden aboard the Mermaid Ace 11/30, arrived Davisville 12/13 and landed at dealer on 12/17. 42 days from start to finish, not too bad at all. I think I spent more time on the configurator than I did waiting for my new arrival. Although it’s unrealistic to expect these results to occur, the ordering process was great and I ended up with exactly what I wanted. I’m 6’6”, finding a no sunroof C2S equipped even closely to what I wanted proved nearly impossible, add a near 10% discount along with the aforementioned short wait made for it being even more special.
When was the allocation generated? If you get one that is already in the system that can be changed it can work out just like yours did, or quicker. Regardless, congrats and stop in the thread where people have them on order and see how long some have waiting, or are still waiting.

You’re correct Bob, my dealer had an allocation that was nearing its freeze point, SA went in Porsche’s ordering system and amended what was originally a black, highly optioned, stock vehicle and changed it to match my requested configuration. It’s all about timing, I just happened to move at just the right time. Love my choice however, viewing your posts on your ordered Miami Blue Targa helped push me over the edge in placing my order. I bet it never gets boring whether it’s your first order or your 10th, the experience is quite exhilarating. Wishing you well with your beautiful ride.
My custom order took just a few days over 2 months from order placed and deposit to car pickup. Compared to what I have seen, mine was pretty fast, but not 42 days.

I could not find exactly what I wanted so I had to order and like you, I got exactly what I wanted. The only advantage to a long wait was having plenty of time to research all of the goodies I would up getting thus far for the car, most even before the car arrived; however, the list is still not complete as I have a few more things to get. Enjoy it and I bet your smile is as bigger than the one on the beautiul woman getting the first seat time between the two of you!
