What do you use to remove the excess dip from between the small letters ie: the a and the e in Carrerra? I'm a big guy with fingers as large as bananas, do I need to hire someone with baby sized hands?

And, on one or two locations I used an exacto blade (VERY delicately) to cut away small areas that bridged the gap between the paint and the emblem. There is a little space there that usually breaks on its own when you pull up the negative shapes from around and inside the emblems... however, if you apply enough layers, they can remain strong enough to stay together. I did some light cutting on the areas where I thought this might happen to keep things peeling correctly. It's somewhat hard to describe, but essentially I had the blade angled in such a way that if it cut all the way through the PlastiDip layer, the tip of the blade would end up in the gap between the emblem and the paint, never touching either.

If you dip your rims, you have to keep in mind that getting new tires will mean that you need to completely redo them. The upside is that when you peel it off, your rims are just as perfect and pristine as the day you sprayed them.

I had about 4-5 coats on my winter wheels. Started flaking off probably due to my application. Getting it all off took a lot of time....some of it must have been applied correctly !. Good inexpensive way to try something different.
