Driving home from work the other day I got this error message. I pulled over to see what had happened. I can't get the spoiler to go up or down now, its just stuck there. I have an appointment with Porsche of Livermore this coming Wednesday.

 

Holy crap - never saw anything like this before! Looks like a bolt came loose or an arm broke?

Pretty smart system by Porsche to alert you of something that you can't see while driving.

Curious, does the car pull to one side, or the other, with the Kitty Wompus rear spoiler?

 

Note to self - rear spoiler cannot withstand speeds greater than 80 MPH.

That car was also a Cab but that could just be coincidence?

Either that or it is the new dynamic spoiler corner-force loading feature (PDSFL) that works with PDCC and torque-vectoring (PTV) to improve corner turn-in at high speeds.

 

StormRune. Thanks for the link. I got a flashlight etc and found the broken spring arm. I can't see its retainer. It appears the spring arm is broken and sticking out toward the back of the car and that's what is holding the spoiler out, or preventing it from retracting all the way.

And yes, my car makes right turns much better.

 

Is that the oval track setting?

 

 

I had the same problem. dealer told me parts alone will cost around 3200. it is a spring failure but they can not change the spring itself.

No joke, I have an entire OEM spoiler assembly (and spoiler) off a GTS that I'd be willing to sell you if you end up needing one. I can promise that mine will cost less than the one from the dealership (if you're not covered under warranty, that is).
