Side Window Rattle on Cabriolet
Just wondered if anyone else has this. On my nearly two year old recently purchased 991.2 Cabriolet S with 5000 miles. The side window in driver's door when fully raised and the roof up, rattles at the top against the strut separating it from the rear side window. Or possibly the rear side window is rattling but I think it's the main door window or both. Not dramatically bad, more an annoying little jitter right against my earhole. It stops when I press against it but that's not a very comfortable driving position. When I crank the window down then fully raise again, it's a bit better but not perfect. Likewise, if I open the door and slam it shut while moving, it reduces it a bit. Can't see anything obviously wrong. Is this something you have to live with in a convertible with not much support across the top for the full length of two side windows? It's under warranty but seems a bit piffling to take in just for this, especially as I bought it 200 miles away and my nearest OPC is 60 miles away. Maybe I should just drive with the roof down. Ah, forgot, can only do that a few days of the year in England.

Other posts have been made stating that the windows can be adjusted, however, I would surmise that the door cards have to be removed to do so.
I know it would annoy me as well. I would have it resolved with a warranty claim.
Rattles can be hard to trace and the cabriolets have a lot of parts that can contribute to these noises. Good luck.

Yeah, I should get them to adjust the window. Because OPC I bought from serviced it early, I'll be taking it in to an OPC for major service in about a year and still under warranty. I guess I'll live with it until then, not exactly a daily driver. Thanks for opinion, confirmed what I thought.

Might want to try the window reset. Run the window all the way down then all the way up, release the window lever then press it up and hold it for a few seconds and it resets the window height.

I have a 2012 991 Cab and it has this same problem. I have learned to love with it. It is as solid as a rock with the top down and zero rattles. Seem to rattle more as the weather gets colder.
