GTS w/PSE Tip Clearance?
I had the Soul high-flow cats installed yesterday and today I was wiping off the exhaust tips and I could not get my entire hand between the top of the tips and the bumper opening above it, which I think I was able to do before them were installed; I have only had the car a couple of weeks. Can someone measure the opening of the distance from the top of the tips to the bumper opening for me? I have a 2019 Targa GTS with the PSE and Black stock tips. Thanks in advance...Bob Z.

Bob you might need a tip adjustment or the muffler straps might need to be loosened up. If you unbolt the tips and it cant be adjusted how you like it, might not be worth it to mess with the muffler. But it depends how much it bothers you.

I just measured mine and the gap is 1/2" so it appears I am correct in that they are slightly higher. I did not think the tips can be adjusted up & down, can they? Can they be adjusted fore & aft?

They have a squeeze clamp on them so they can be adjusted fore & aft. Dont think they can be adjusted up & down as they will tighten on to the pipe and re-correct them selves to it.

I am just considering the Soul cats, how do you like them?? I installed the 'deluxe' Soul 3.5" double wall tips but I now feel there is too much clear around them. The stocks are a 3 X 4 oval. I was also thinking of changing them out to the 4" slash cut.

Before I bought my car I test drove a couple with high flow cats (Fabspeed & Soul) and I love the Souls, and my installer did as well. Great quality, sound and value so I highly recommend them.

I'm at a smidgen under 1" at the outermost edge, narrowing to ¾" at the closest nearest the muffler, as shown in this photo. S with PSE, exhaust never touched.

I doubt they even had to remove the tips, so I imagine it is the muffler itself. You can compare yours to mine in the photo. But I know with the tips on my prior 911s you can get a little up/down adjust by tilting them a little when tightening. Maybe as much as a ¼" adjustment up/dpwn at the outermost tip that way.

Looking at the Soul installation instructions (link below), I don't see anything allowing for a height adjustment of the muffler position and thus the tips. Maybe someone else with first-hand experience would know if there's any way to control height.

Now that you have me looking closer at mine, it almost seems that mine is a bit on the low side. Too funny. But it looks okay at a normal distance (see current avatar).

I agree, I think yours are a little low, and mine are a little high but I think the best position is an equal distance on the top and sides, whatever that happens to be.

So now that you have me wondering if mine is too low, I went and hunted down a few other photos. Here are the ones that I found that seem to be photos of stock unmodified PSE photos (coming from various reviews). There is a fair amount of variation. Mine is the last one with the contrast blown out to see the separation better. The second one is really tight! The third one is a GTS.
