Default Heater Fan Question

Should the heater fan in auto start blowing in my 14 S before the water temp is high enough so cold air is not blowing on you? I've had a car that did this but can't remember which one it was and no search results for me>>>?

Thanks

Fan is always on at startup. You can manually turn off at each start up cycle.

That su*^s. I think on my 996(might have been one of the wife's Mercedes) the fan didn't start blowing until the water was warm which was really nice. Simple to do. Shame on such a nice car.....mostly? Thanks for the reply!

Steve, essentially your exact question was asked a few days ago here:

Thanks Lex! Didn't search fan.... Such a simple convenience to wire and program when designing the car. Glad to know I'm not the only guy thinking up this stuff.

What is the purpose of this post? Not everyone has the time to read every thread from days ago. Initial answer was nice and informative. Coming back at it again to imply he should have searched before asking accomplishes nothing other than seeming unfriendly and know it all.

I didn't take it that way at all. No harm no foul and I enjoyed finding another guy thinking too much

Wow, relax, Frances, You are the only who implied anything here. If you MUST have an answer, the reason was two-fold. One, I have zero clue how to post, and search for, related links to other threads when on the mobile app, and that's how I answered Steve's question originally, by using only the app. Two, after I thought about it a little while (by then I was on my laptop, and I can search and link with the web site version), I realized there was a related thread to his question, from a few days ago, with even better & more info than my first very short post. Are you better, now?
