Default 991.2 front spoiler

Front sport spoiler

I purchased this spoiler for my 991.2 S and thought I simply needed to remove the rubber spoiler (4 metal screws and 2 plastic rivets) and install this one. That doesn't seem to be the case.

It appears I also need to remove the harder plastic one that my current rubber spoiler mounts to. Is this correct? Removal of the rubber one was as easy as removing the screws/rivets and sliding the piece towards the driver's side.

Advice on removal of the harder plastic piece? Also, I presume once I install this new piece I do not re-install the current rubber spoiler. Thanks in advance!

I put one on my buddies 991.2. At first it seems hard but once you figure it out you'll laugh at how easy it is. Hopefully that thread will help. Let me know if you need me to take pictures. The original one comes out by shifting it sideways. The new one just snaps on. No screws to remove.

Yes.

Roughly the same for the wider, non-rubber piece. I don't remember which direction I pulled... I gouged mine pretty good when I removed it and just chucked it afterwards... so I probably shouldn't be giving any advice!

Correct. Your new one-piece chin spoiler replaces the original two-piece spoiler. It just clips in rather easily and doesn't require any screws/rivets.

Good luck!
