Nice, congrats and I am sure you will like the Yellow much more than the Black.

Depends on who you want to believe at this point. There have been 'sourced' articles in the mags that have said yes and no (yes first, no later)... Personally, I don't think the 992 lends itself to the T ethos, if there is such a thing. And certainly not, if they don't put MT in them, which is still being debated/discussed apparently. Although there are some recent spy shots of 992 MT cars. Time will tell.

Yes, Sloane car. Dealer was incredible and made it simple. I was in the business for 25 years, in a way still am, so I appreciate cutting to the chase and no BS.

I have had several Black Porsche's...I'm ok with the "Lifestyle" of it. It was actually a very nice Black T that stared this process in general, which means this whole Racing yellow thing was not in the plan.
A complete leap of faith on color, (not everyone in the family is as happy as I am), the specs were a no brainer...that said life is short, why the F not?!

I've got some fun ideas and mods planned, we'll see how it all turns out. When do I learn the secret hand-shake?

Ha! Your car will teach it to you. On the first redline shift from 1 to 2 (and again with the other hand at 3 to 4 at 100). Then you'll know why were so crazy for this thing!

Hopefully your first mod is replacing the orange side markers! And yes, take it easy with the PCCBs until you get a feel for them.

I had a 2012 Turbo S that was equipped ith PCCB, and rightly so with that power, great brakes ! Love the non-brake dust factor too.

Bob,
1st mod will be removal of the 911T stripe and clear bra the car. I may consider the clear corners

Nice car!

I notice you have a GT3, will The T be a dedicated daily? I would be interested in your feedback on the two cars vs each other.
In the past I have seen GT3 owners completely disregard the T, while others have absolutely loved the car.
Let us know your thoughts, as you get some miles on the car.....

Let us know your thoughts, as you get some miles on the car.....

The T will be a spring/summer/fall daily and road trip car. You know the one you don't mind putting miles on.

The reason I'm even here...my girlfriend and I both did a 90 minute manual 911 T session back in May at Porsche Experience Center Los Angeles.
We enjoy going and it was the day before Luftkekuhlt 6, so more Porsche seemed like a great thing to do, and the Restaurant 917 is always good.
Prior to this day, I had read about the Carrera T, didn't pay much attention to it. Coming from early 911"s I also didn't get it, a lowly T, what is Porsche thinking ?

I have driven a Targa at PECLA before and signed up for the manual class as it was a pre-requisite for the GT3 master the manual course. I knew what to expect and was familiar with the circuits.

I told my instructor, all I wanted to do this time was the circuit. no skid pad, no launch control, I just wanted to maximize my time on the track.
On the first lap the instructor takes you out on a very spirited hot lap. My initial thoughts going very hard into the first few corners was "this T is amazing, why do I need a GT3?"
Car was everything you all are already familiar with, immensely capable, FAST and FUN!
I proceeded to flog that car for the next 90 minutes, passing GT3 RS, Turbo's, virtually every car out on the track. We had to stop twice to cool the brakes and tires, at the suggestion of my instructor who was having just as much fun. The car had 20 miles on the odometer when we started, bet it goes 500,000 miles

Anyway that amazing experience with that red Carrera T was not lost on me and I have thought about it ever since. PECLA did exactly what it's designed to do that day...sell Porsche's !

I'll keep you posted on this T and my comparison to the GT3 as I put miles on the car.

Cheers
