My bet is you will love it! I fought a similar trade for a couple of years - didn't like the idea of a 3.0 TT. But i finally buckled 4 months ago after reading the performance stats of 991.2`s versus 991.1's. So i traded my nicely optioned 15 manual C2S with 10 k miles for a heavily optioned brand new PDK C2S and got a deal on a dealer installed X51 PowerKit. It is easily more awesome than i ever would have guessed.
It took a few months but now i know the only thing it needs is more sound. So I'm changing out to catless cats with catalytic O2 sensors. Can do it for about $1500 total. I heard a 2018 GTS with these cat pipes at the Daytona PCA Club Races, and it blew my mind. No emission testing in this clean part of the country, so I'm going catless and will hang on to my OEM cats. Less than two hours labor to replace.
If you drive for a while and like me decide it needs a more authoritative exhaust note, changeover to catless or high flow cats is the first and best step to take. This OEM cats are sound mufflers, and do slow spool up of the turbos. So there are nice benefits to changing them.
Other than full frontal+ Suntek PPF and 70% ceramic coat tint to all windows, these cars need little else. Well, maybe some cool checkered Cocomats, Awe window foilers, and OEM clear side markers. That's about it, IMO...
Enjoy!
