Default What is this thing?

I was under the hood today for a while and found something I'd never noticed before. This is on the back side of the plastic panel covering the brake fluid reservoir and battery. Any idea what that plastic yellow tool is? Look at the top section. It has a hooked tool on it. Anyone?

holds the panel up when you are servicing the brake fluid, etc.
You swing the hook part up to catch on the hood.

Oh. Weird. I just remove the whole panel and lean it up against the wall!

Worth noting that the hook doesn't work if you have an aftermarket frunk cover liner.

It can still work, but you have to drill a hole in the frunk liner, which is what I did.
