Default Winter storage - sealed Car Bag?

Planning for winter storage. The car will be in an unheated barn that can not be rodent proofed. Last year I just went with a regular car cover and things were fine. I'm thinking of using a sealed car bag (www.carbag.com) with desiccant packs to help prevent rodents. Does anyone have experience with this? I am hoping that the supplied desiccant packs are sufficient to keep the moisture down.

I live in Northern New England so we get all kinds of weather in the winter.

Thanks in advance!

Do you have power? Look into the Car Capsule too.

I did look into that - just seemed to be pretty expensive and bit overly complicated....

Wow - the video was rather alarming - so much damage!

My friend had the same situation as yours. He fashioned 4 wooden platforms and jacked the car up and placed a “ platform “ under each tire.

He then covered the sides of each platform with some aluminum flashing to prevent the rodents from climbing up the wood cribbing.

Here’s a picture of the basic concept. I’ll see if he can send me an actual picture of his car in storage mode.

In the good old days, some mothballs (scattered or in net bags) were the way to keep rodents away.
