Default NT510 Schwaben

How do you like this scan tool? I'm leaning this way hoping it will work for my 2012.5 CS AND a 2017 Cayenne S. What do you think?

Quite a few folks use Launch CReader Products.

I've used (borrowed) the Launch CReader 129 Professional from a co-worker and it worked great.

It works on my 991.1 TTS, 991.2 Cab, and Macan GTS. Don't see why it won't on a 991.1 S. Don't know about the Cayenne S support but updates are released frequently.

Reviving an old post but FWIW, I could not get the NT510 to reset oil service interval on my 2017 Macan Turbo. Would not accept the date no matter how I formatted it. Could have been user error but had to borrow a different branded tool to reset. If anyone has any tips or walkthroughs on how to use it, it would be greatly appreciated.

NT510 is made by Foxwell, so Schwaben just rebrands them I guess.
Anyway, there is a new firmware update from Foxwell to address the date issue.
I'd check with their website/support and update the module first - I don't know if the way to update a Schwaben branded one is different from a vanilla Foxwell.

Found another post on the RL Cayenne subforum noting that potentially an upgrade to the NT520 or 530 is needed. Will definitely try the software update first before buying another scanner. Thank you!

Per Foxwell’s own words, 510 and 530 are the same - the difference is cosmetic with the buttons. The software is pretty much the same. I ordered a 510 from them last summer and they sent me a 530 for the same price and said they’re the same 😁

Have a NT510 that I have used for my wife's BMW X3 for OCI and installing a new battery etc. Was cheaper to buy the NT510 than have the dealer reset for a new battery.

Curious what would need to be done to use it for the 911, subscribe for another vehicle I suspect. Will be following this thread.

Yes, you would need to register your device in the Foxwell website if you haven’t already done. Then you can simply purchase another vehicle manufacturer’s software.

I ordered a 1-manufacturer module from them and it didn’t come with anything installed. I had to register and then download the Porsche software - and I’m hoping the one I downloaded already has the date fix.. I’ll know soon when I do my oil change in the coming weeks - if only OnTrac decides to deliver my QuickJack!

The device is already registered. Will have to figure out if it can support multiple vehicles (i.e. uploading more than 1 manufacturer's software).

Oh it definitely can support up to 5 manufacturers. Here's the page relevant to 530 (and 510 as well methinks) that has steps on downloading software etc.
It's there all the way at the bottom (search for "Download" on that page).

BTW, I've no vested interest in the Foxwell module's success/failure and definitely am not officially connected to them - I too am just an enthusiast excited about using this product for work on my car
I've used VCDS/VAGCom and OBDEleven on my Audis previously and have enjoyed tweaking small things - so the enthusiasm just carries through.
