Default Dim back light spots on instrument cluster

Since I have had my 15, 991 I have noticed dim spots on the instrument cluster back lighting. It is seen only when driving at night and is occurring to certain numbers on both outer clusters. ( see the crude I phone picture ) it is very difficult to have it display in an actual picture. What's happening is that these certain areas on the cluster are very dim / dark compared to the numbers right next to them. The worst areas for me are on the fuel gauge where full ( 4/4 ) and gas pump icon are displayed and where the 5 bar reading for oil pressure and the oil can is also half lit. Also the temp gauges on both sides particularly at the top ( 250 / 300 ).

It is a minor nuisance but I certainly don't want it to get worse and with my warranty expiring soon and the door panels that now also need to be replaced I am wondering if this is a legit warranty issue that is worth perusing.

Does anyone else have this issue? Has anyone had their cluster replaced as a result?

Thank you!

This is a common annoyance ( for me anyway). I think ALL the dash lights should be lit up ALL the time so you can clearly see whats going on!! End of rant.

My '18 GTS back lights are consistently bright across all the gauges. No dim spots. Not sure if that means you have a problem, or the cluster lighting has changed.

Have you gone into your settings and turned your brightness up. This could help.

In my case the headlights have to be on for the whole cluster to light up, other than that the cluster lights are off except for one .

This actually makes it worse because the dim spots are more pronounced.
