thank you very much for your detailed replied. You have a very gorgeous 911! Looks like a beast.

I had the opportunity to talk to Nick Murray who is basically a youtuber. He mentioned that getting a 911 4S will help me benefit more of the car at the track. Also he warned me that the car would depreciate less compared to Carrera 4. I am not entirely sure of the market pricing of 2nd hands so I do not know what to say about that...

On top of this he added on his email that, if i am planning to take the car to the track, I'd be benefiting more from the 4S breaking system and cooling compared to C4.

I have spoken to my family they will be helping me financially for the car so i think I will go for a Carrera 4S with the Power Kit.

But I'd like to thank you for all the info and the experience you have provided.

I have decided on waiting for the 992. Which will be unveiled end of November. I am planning to get a 911 992 Carrera 4S with the Power Kit. I will be getting the sport crono package in the power kit and also i will add the front axle lift system.

I am currently on hold due to the my canadian permanent residency status. I will place a deposit as soon as i get a positive response.

I did look into the CPO and the inventory but quiet honestly none of them were to my liking. It's either the color or some of the options... If i am spending that amount of money, i'd like to be able to customize it to my liking.

You are %100 right abou t the sports package. But i prefer to have folding mirrors since i am in a basement parking. It is not private parking. I prefer to have the folding mirrrors for extra room for my own car.

I am a car enthusiast like everyone here in the forum. I am planning to have the car delivered to GTAinDetail to have the car prepped both for new car prep and ceramic coating on the paint (after the paint correction) and the rims. Also after every season ends id like to take the car to the same place for cleaning again.

You and I think alike. A friend of mine warned me about 992's coming out soon. I believe the conference is end of November. So I will be ordering a 992 C4S with the powerkit.

I'd be more than happy to explain. about keeping it neat and clean, salt free. Here in toronto, some places recircle the cleaning water and people had their cars rusted very quick or not take good care of their car since the beginning. What i mean by that is, even a new car after production, paint is not fully clean, neat, tidy and the thickness isnt even. I'd like to take it to a specialist and have the car prepped and ceramic coating.

I wish it was as simple as you stated, salt really damages the car in time if not treated correctly. Sometimes water cannot reach the tight parts of the car. Thats where these specialists come in and do amazing job.

I used to own a TT S and took it to detailing in the beginning of the seasons and at the end. Wouldn't cost too much 100-200$ but the car would be sparkling clean all the time.

I hope this helps, thank you again for the warning for winter tires and floor liners, which is a must in Toronto.

I have spoken to the owner of the video you have kindly provided here.

Unfortunately having just winter tires and floor liners doesn't really cut it in Toronto. There are tight parts of the cars where there is salt and water just really fully cant reach. These detailers do amazing job in cleaning, preserving, protecting your car. I dont mind spending 100-200$ to keep my car salt free on top of your suggestions.

Thank you for your reply. I will be using the car for the daily commute mostly but at the same time i'd like to blow some steam in the track time to time.

I may have been misunderstood maybe when i said i'd like to take the car to the track... It will not be a track exclusive car. I'd like to go time to time that is basically all.

I do agree on the part where you have mentioned the stress on the car when you take it to the track... Since it will be few days only in a year i dont think it will be that troubling.

I am not a fan of buying used cars. There may not be anything wrong with it, but i'd like to customize it the way i like it.

Can't go wrong no matter what you do but, historically, a power kit won't be available right away. It's offered later in the model cycle. Regardless, the base and S will have power bumps. 390 for the base and 450 for the S.

I don't have any official information but if you want speculation, going by the 991 product cycle, it should be an option a year or so after the 992.1 launch. A retrofit kit will then be made available to dealers for first year owners who want the upgrade. Expect it to be pricey. It will be standard on the GTS models in the 3rd model year. The 4th year will bring the 992.2. Possibly with hybrid power. But again, it's all speculative.

As far a winter driving, I use mine to get to ski resorts. Gotta drive in pretty rough conditions for fresh powder. I opted to Xpel the whole front end instead of a ceramic coat. It does okay when it gets deep but the windshield takes a beating.

Thanks again for the detailed explanation and info.

I hope there will be a retrofit for it. I do not own a car at the moment so I need to get something as soon as possible. I hope the kit is available from the start but if not, having the option to add it later on is fine by me.

I will go with C4S 992. I will wait until the end of November for it to be announced. Would you recommend going to a dealer before it to place a deposit? What would you suggest?

It wouldn't hurt to make contact with the dealer. Putting down a deposit isn't necessary but letting a sales rep know of your interest is a good idea. If you want something special like an early build or European Delivery or Paint to Sample (PTS) the sooner the better. They can also help decode Porsche's options list. If you've viewed Nick's various "options" videos you'll see it can get a little confusing.

There are 2 dealers in Toronto. You should ask Rennlist Canada for a dealer or sales rep recommendation.

wow you are the best man ty for all the info!

A friend of mine bought a Cayenne Turbo and another friend bought a cayman last year from downtown porsche. But i heard bad things about the service about that specific location (not sure how trusty these review could be but here is the source, https://www.yelp.ca/biz/downtown-porsche-toronto)

I will ask recommendation right now! Thank you very much again!
