Cool DIY

Just polished and ceramic coated my wheels for winter. HRE wheels with Pilot Alpin winter tires.

How was it? What process did you follow and what products did you use?

First time. That's why I did it with winter wheels.

Washed with soap (Meguiar Wash and Wax) and water.
Polished (Meguiar's Ultimate Polish) with orbital polisher.
Wiped down with alcohol.
Cheap ceramic off of amazon 9H.
Wiped on with a new small buffing pad.
Buffed off with a micro fiber cloth.

Did the inside barrel first. Then the front. Seems like it went on/off pretty easily.

Next I will try it on one of my cars. Depending on how it goes I might do it to my new Porsche. It would be over the xpel. But my last car that was fully wrapped in xpel was pretty protected, not sure ceramic coating would add much.

Sounds pretty easy. Did it add any depth or gloss?

Not really. I was mostly looking to help protect harsh winter snow, salt, dirt.
