New to this forum. Just picked up a 991.1 turbo. I had 2011 ZR1 previously. I would spray the wheels with Sonax before I went through the touch less wash. Wheels and barrels were alway perfect.

Touch less... ew. I just saying that because of the amount of cheap products those use.

I cannot imagine using WD40 on anything in the wheel/tire/brake area. What are you suggesting we use it on??

Unless asbestos is no longer being used in brake pads, I'm not sure I'd be blowing the dust around while it is dry, unless you're wearing a respirator. Call me crazy.

How could a touchless wash possibly do ANY harm?? Millions of cars go through them every day particularly in the winter.

Not to worry. Asbestos has not been an ingredient of brake parts for many years. I'd be suspicious working on NOS brake shoes from the 50's and 60's though.

Recycled water blasting dirt into the paint, dirty filters, cheap soap that strips wax off, the "spot-free rinse" product is nothing but silicone which leaves a residue behind, high pressure water pushing dirt and salt deeper into the nooks and crannies, issues with PPF, etc.
I'm not an expert and the statement above is just my opinion. I'm very particular about what products I use on my Pork...

Thats better.
Not sure where you go (or don't) but I've never had wax stripped, spot free doesn't leave a residue,, if PPF is done properly with no visible edges you'll be fine. I don't but i'm pretty sure the best detailers around use pressure washers. . I hand wash twice a week in the summer and whenever possible in the winter. No touch 1/week in winter if I've been driving on wet roads.
