When I lived in Winter wonderland, I never started my Porsche during storage months. It's not necessary and is not good. There is too much water generated during a cold startup. You can't get it out of the engine without driving it and getting everything hot. Idling or revving in neutral doesn't produce enough heat to completely dry out the engine. That requires the engine doing is usual work, which is pushing and slowing the car. There's a cold transaxle mated to the engine that stays cold in the garage. Water in engines is acidic and causes corrosion. Don't do it.
