I'm wrapping my new car with Xpel. When replacing badge on the back, would you replace all, just Porsche, or a combination.
It's a Carrera 4S. I'm think to just put Porsche back on the rear of the car. No "911 Carrera 4S"
Is that crazy?
not Crazy at all.
I would put. “911 4S” only with a red S. Simple and classy. I am gonna do that with my C2S. “991 S”
OEM has too much writing back there IMO.
I think the only people that wont like it, (as with many other cars I have seen with 'off ' personalized markings) are people who know how its supposed to be. If you dont know how things are supposed to be, it doesnt have any effect on you.
If you have knowledge of something and it has been altered, you usually have a definite opinion about the alteration. For me, I wouldnt like to see it
My car had designation delete on the build sheet so came with just "P O R S C H E", but the previous owner had added the "911 Carrera" badge. I removed it recently and prefer the cleaner look.

There is no "supposed to be" in terms of which emblems are on 911 models, since you can option it however you want. IMO, so long as the spacing is true to original and the model is not misrepresented, any combination of model designation (911, 911 Carrera, Carrera, etc) or lack thereof looks as its "supposed to be" there.
